Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this unit, you will be able to:

• Provide a definition of open educational resources.
• Articulate the difference between OER and other free and affordable educational materials.
• Describe the challenges and benefits of using OER in a class.
• Define copyright and open licenses.
• Describe the four different Creative Commons License components.
• Identify the people, departments, or instructional materials that will assist you with addressing copyright or licensing challenges

  • Part 2 – Copyright: Copyright and Open Licensing and Creative Commons Licenses
• Review materials on LOUIS OER Commons: Open, Free, and Affordable Course Materials
• Complete reflection activity: Google Drive Chapter 1 & 2 Worksheet
