This OER text was scanned using OCR (optimal character recognition). Unfortunately, and perhaps accordingly, there are countless errors within each and every page. Furthermore, this text has not been updated within the last twelve years. Therefore, the text is not only riddled with what might appear to be typos &/or mistakes, but also, is quite outdated. I imagine this text is available to students in exchange for payment in a much more readable format--one that was not scanned, that does not include countless issues, that is likely much more current (e.g., updated within the last twelve years).
